Push to Regen - Episode 30

Wednesday, January 29th, 2014

Well, well, well…

An almost three hour giant-sized episode of the PTR podcast is in your ears!

We go over the news - 12 days of Clixmas and War of the Light. We also bring back a classic segment - $3 theme teams! Featuring the X-Men versus SCIENCE!

Brian Roll, the Creative Director of HeroClix, was nice enough to join us on the show, and takes part in our 2013 Year In Review. We cap things off with the results of our Video Game Character drunk dial contest, as well as Tweet Mails, Nates Question, and the ever popular Space Canada Facts.

Also, just so you guys know - Rob and I will be taking a short hiatus from the show. A month, maybe two, to recharge the batteries and reinvent the show. We will be back, and when we return, PTR will be better than ever!

Be sure to check in with everyone on the HeroClix sub-reddit at reddit.com/r/heroclix

Push to Regen - Episode 24

Wednesday, July 24th, 2013

You should've known better, than to think we'd get an episode out on time!

Enjoy our dulcet tones! Revel in the amazingness that is 'Take This Heart!' And, of course, take part in the strangest 'Clix podcast this side of the I4 corridor.

We talk Fear Itself, Wolverine & The X-Men, and have a battle of the Team Girl Squad versus some mer-men in the Port of Miami.

This is seriously one of the weirdest episodes we've done, guys. We understand if we start hemorrhaging listeners because of it. :)

What's your #SummerAnthem? Don Henley, Atmosphere, and Kenny Rogers and the First Edition are all mentioned by the guys on this episode!

Push to Regen - Episode 23 Redux!

Sunday, June 23rd, 2013

Seems like podbean is having some issues - so we're trying a re-upload to see if that solves the problem. :)

ANYWAY...

Episode 23 descends upon us! And with it comes a plethora - a host - a murder of information! And…a call for help.

We all know about the tornado that caused so much damage in Moore, OK on May 20th. We heard through comic writer Sterling Gates that one of our own was affected by the devastating storm.

Jake Langham is a judge at the Little Shoppe of Games in Oklahoma City. He lost everything in the storm - and while we can't give him back his home, we can help give back some of his HeroClix.  So dig into your doubles, your unused objects, and maps - lets help Jake out.

So, we're calling on you guys to help out. I know not all of you can, but if just one of you are able to send something, I'm sure it would help.

Send packages to the following address:

Jake Langham

℅ Little Shoppe of Games

5109 N. Shartel Ave.

Oklahoma City, OK

73118

We also talk about the new ATA's, our favorite pieces for the new PAC, as well as talking about the Trinity of Sin.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for being the best. :)

Push to Regen - Episode 20

Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

It's been a minute, but we're back!

This week, we cover the barrage of news that was the 2013 New York Toy Fair, we talk over the new February Players Guide, DOTA 2 Clix, and the triumphant return (in a 'Clix compatible release) of Mage Knight! Our previews consist of a soviet super-soldier (not one of THOSE Soviet super-soldiers) and a young homicidal alien bastich.

We also deliver, this episode, a segment people have been clamoring for for nearly a year. Seriously. Never let it be said that we don't fulfill our promises.

You can, however, totally say we don't fulfill our promises in a timely manner.

We take some time out to talk about the nuances and specifics of Vehicle dials this episode as well. It's pretty good stuff, so be sure to give it a listen.

Also, in a special segment, Jay sat down with Norm Barth of Clixathon to talk bout the event coming up March 23rd and 24th. Be sure to listen up for details on the event, as well as check out the website for the event - www.clixathon.com

AND we talk your emails, and, of course, Nate's Question of the Week!

Watch your Schmidlapp! Clean your Fangschliester! It's time for the show!

Push to Regen - Episode 16

Tuesday, December 11th, 2012

How about that new theme song?

This week, the boys discuss show news, with a smattering of Clix specific news as well. Our previews this week were for the epitome of clear plastic, as well as a nuclear flightless bird-man.

We also go into a pretty in depth discussion featuring the long standing rivalry between the Justice League International and the X-Men, as well as having an Unexpected Segment.

Oh, did we mention pushtoregen.com?

Push To Regen Free Action Round 3 - Interview With 2012 Worlds Champion Alex Avila!

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

This was originally going to be part of episode 12 - but the talk went so well and covered so much, Rob and I didn't think it should be cut down to fit the show. So instead - here it is in (nearly) all of its glory! Alex and I talked for about an hour and a half, and it was truly a wonderful experience. We cover everything from strategy, to favorite powers, team abilities, sculpts, comics, and even music. It was a really fun conversation, and I hope you guys have as much fun listening to it as I did doing the interview.

Our introduction song is "616", produced by Vincent Vandal, performed by Adam Warrock off the album "You Dare Call That Thing Human?" The outro is "The View From Eternity", produced by Ruckus Roboticus, performed by Adam Warrock off the album "The War For Infinity."

You can contact the show in the following ways: pushtoregen@gmail.com@pushtoregen on Twitter, or by posting a comment about the episode you just listened to, either on the Podbean site - http://pushtoregen.podbean.com, or feel free to leave us a rating and a review on iTunes! Push To Regen - Episode 11

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012

A week late on recording, and a little late on posting, and at a lower audio quality than we'd like…but here's episode 11!

First, I want to sincerely apologize for some of the audio issues in this episode - you can tell we were out of practice. We hit the table a BUNCH of times which caused some popping on the mic, and we sat a bit far back for most of the episode. We'll get it right next time!

All that said, however, we've got some great content this episode! News this week covered the major news - rules clarifications on replacement characters, and most importantly the all new Vehicle Rules, which dovetailed nicely into one of our two preview talks this week, the Batmobile! We also discussed the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle from the DC 10th Anniversary set - and topped off our show with $3 theme teams featuring the Avengers (b-team) versus the Femizons. The always popular Common Justice this week features the 9th Doctor and an explosive football referee.

New this episode is a segment where we look at higher end pieces that need some love…which we weren't able to come up with a clever nickname for. It's been a heck of a couple of weeks. In this segment, we discuss a Secret Warrior with loyalty issues, an Excalibur villain, a holey Spidey bad guy, and a dastardly villain dressed in the flag of the U-S-of-A.

All that, and tweets, emails, Facebook messages, a truly epic edition of Adventures In Google Voice Transcription, and Nate's question of the week.

Push To Regen Free Action - Round 2!

Sunday, June 10th, 2012

After several weeks of trudging through the sadness pile that is a lost podcast, Jay and Rob are back with their second 'Free Action' episode - a special look aside from what we normally discuss to talk previews!

In this episode, we go over all the previews that had been posted at the time of recording for Chaos War, DC 10th Anniversary, Marvel 10th Anniversary, and Justice League - needless to say, we talked...for nearly 3 hours. What you now have in your ears is the two hour edited version.

As I mention at the top of the show, we don't get around to discussing the War of Light or GSX Fast Forces packs - most likely in our next full episode - the Creators 4-Pack, nor the Con exclusives - which will also, more likely than not, be brought up in our next full episode.

Appreciate your patience as we've worked through the bugs - hope you enjoy the latest Free Action episode of the show!

Our introduction song is "616", produced by Vincent Vandal, performed by Adam Warrock off the album "You Dare Call That Thing Human?" The outro is "The View From Eternity", produced by Ruckus Roboticus, performed by Adam Warrock off the album "The War For Infinity."

Contact the show via the following: pushtoregen@gmail.com@pushtoregenon Twitter, or by posting a comment about the episode you just listened to, either on the Podbean site - http://pushtoregen.podbean.com, or feel free to leave us a rating and a review on iTunes! Also, Like us on Facebook, and join in the discussion!

Also, we've got a Google Voice number! You can give us a buzz at 321-236-2549...that's right, 321-236-CLIX.

Jay is @jcorduroy on Twitter, and pretty much anywhere else on the internet. Rob is @multiplemanarmy, though his internet residence of choice are the HC Realms A/V Forums.
